The Expanded Duty Dental Assistant (EDDA) certification is the next step for dental assistants who want to expand their capabilities to perform expanded duty dental assisting functions as specified by Louisiana law. Our course is one part of what you'll need to apply for the certification. The other two parts are:

Thanks for attending our Dentists' Day at the Legislature event!

At this event, dentists and advocates for dentistry:

📋 Get caught up on the current legislative session.
📚 Learn about the bills that affect dentistry. (Depending on the year, topics could include access to care, insurance, small business, or public health).
✏️ Write and distribute notes for their legislators' offices.
👋 Meet legislators in-person to discuss current issues in the dental community.

As all LDA members know, we are stronger together! The LDA works tirelessly with our advocacy team to monitor each legislative session and protect the interests of Louisiana dentists and patients.
