Depending on which tooth was lost and how soon the permanent tooth is expected, we may recommend a band-and-loop space maintainer. This small appliance helps hold the open space so nearby teeth don’t shift into it before the permanent tooth is ready to come in.

Every smile is different, so we’ll determine whether a space maintainer is right for your child!
