The office will be CLOSED on July 4th as well as the week of July 10th through 13th. Dr. Larson will have the office phone and will be available for emergenices at her Perkins location during this time.

All patients that currently have an appointment scheduled for the week of July 10th through 13th have been notified. If you have not done so yet, please give us a call to reschedule your appointment.

Dr. Welch will soon be taking on an Associate. He and his staff would like to introduce to you- Dr. Leah Larson!

Dr. Larson has over 13 years of dental experience. She graduated from Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska in 2010 and has completed a two-year residency and fellowship at the University of Mississippi. Dr. Larson is an American Dental Association member, an American Academy Cosmetic Dentistry member and is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. She has recently completed a year-long course in Implant Dentistry at LSU and an intense implant course at the Alabama Implant Education. In 2019, she was named In Register’s Top Dentists! She loves spending time with her husband Stephen Hightower of City Group Hospitality and enjoys playing tennis in her spare time.

2023 is just around the corner! We want to remind you to take advantage of any unused dental insurance benefits. Make sure to use all available benefits to complete any outstanding treatment or for your all important preventive dental hygiene appointment. Almost all plans do not let you rollover unused dollars to the next benefit year.

If you have funds set aside in a flexible spending account (FSA) or healthcare saving account (HSA), now is the time to schedule treatment so your co-payment amounts can be applied to this year’s deductions.

School’s ALMOST out for the summer!!! Do you have your child’s dental cleaning scheduled? Now is the perfect time, nobody wants to take their children out of school for doctor’s appointments! Highland Dental recommends having teeth cleaned at least twice per year. If you schedule your appointments now, you will avoid the back to school rush at the end of the summer.
