Thank you to the Belmont Enrichment Fund for a grant which enabled OHHC-Barnesville to purchase two vital signs monitors and an infant pediatric SP02 monitor. This medical equipment allows OHHC to expand our scope of services, to increase efficiency and has the potential to improve health outcomes. A huge thank you to the Community Foundation of the Ohio Valley and the Belmont Enrichment Fund for providing us with the tools to better care for our medically underserved region.

The dental center and the express care clinic at OHHC St. Clairsville are currently accepting new patients and the express care also offers walk-in appointments. Both accept most insurances including Ohio Medicaid.

OHHC Opens In-House Pharmacy

The Ohio Hills Health Center’s Pharmacy is now open and ready to serve the patients of OHHC. The Pharmacy is located on the first floor of OHHC-Barnesville, 101 East Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio 43713. It is a closed-door pharmacy which means the pharmacy is limited to the medical, dental, and behavioral health patients of OHHC. Patients from all OHHC facilities can utilize the pharmacy. This pharmacy will result in considerable cost savings for patients.

“The OHHC Pharmacy has been years in the planning, and we are excited to finally be able to open the pharmacy to provide cost savings to our underserved patients and communities,” said Jeff Britton, CEO, OHHC. “The 340B Drug Pricing Program utilized by our pharmacy will allow us to maintain, improve, and expand access to patient care services and programs which will improve the health and well-being of our patients and communities.”

The pharmacy is under the direction of John Jeffries, a respected local pharmacist with over 40 years of experience in the profession. Alicia Rataiczak is the Pharmacy Tech, and she comes to OHHC with over eight years of retail pharmacy experience.

“It has been my privilege to be involved with the pharmacy throughout the planning phase and it is exciting that we are now ready to serve the community,” said Jeffries. “I know many factors go into choosing a pharmacy and I encourage people to give me a call if they have questions or need additional information. I am glad to discuss the OHHC pharmacy and how it might benefit them.”

Ohio Hills Health Centers Pharmacy is committed to providing personalized care, convenient services, and trusted expertise to meet the healthcare needs of families and individuals throughout the region. Full-Time Call Center Medical Assistant

Ohio Hills Health Centers, a community health center providing high-quality primary medical, dental, and behavioral health care to residents in 9 eastern Ohio counties, is seeking a Full-time Medical Assistant to work at the OHHC Call Center located in Barnesville, Ohio.
Responsibilities will include assisting patients calling with clinical questions and requests such as lab and diagnostic testing, medications refills. This position will also assist other call center staff will answer calls in the queue.
Successful candidate must be a graduate of an accredited program and have at least 5 years’ experience in a primary care/family health setting. The candidate must also demonstrate reliability, good problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills and can multitask.
