✨Meet Dr. Hewgley, DDS✨
Dr. Hewgley is originally from Canton, and is a proud grad. She and her husband, Jacob, are high school sweethearts and have been together for more than half of their lives! They have a daughter, Emerson, and live in Canton. Her husband teaches high school math/special ed in Cherokee County.
Dr. Hewgley practiced in the triangle of North Carolina for the past 4 years before moving back to Georgia to be closer to family. She joined us this past October, and we are thrilled to have her! She is an alum of 🐶 and 🐏.
As a general dentist, Dr. Hewgley loves all aspects of dentistry including crowns/bridges/veneers, implants, extractions, and other surgeries, simple orthodontics, and removable dentistry. She has an eye for detail and a special love for caring for patients with dental anxiety. As someone with a lot of experience as a patient herself, Dr. Hewgley empathizes with those who have procedural anxiety and strives to make each dental experience comfortable.
Dr. Hewgley has type 1 diabetes, and since her diagnosis at age 11, she’s been a big advocate for education about . She’s conducted research and been published, lectured, lead organizations, and more.
Dr. Hewgley loves bugs and frogs (unlike Amber, Alli, and Dr. Ireland), Diet Coke, Mexican food, traveling, learning, and spending time with her family. When she’s not at work, she enjoys supporting her husband’s HS wrestling team. ☘️🦷
