Meet Dr. Aston! 🤍 Raised in Galivants Ferry, South Carolina, Dr. Alex Carmichael Aston is proud to care for patients in the community she has always called home. She graduated from Aynor High School in 2012 before earning her Bachelor of Science in Health Science from the University of South Carolina. She then went on to attend the Medical University of South Carolina, where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. After graduating in 2021, Dr. Aston joined Dr. Carol Baker at P*e Dee Smiles in Johnsonville, where she has loved building lasting relationships with patients and families ever since. She now rotates weekly between the P*e Dee Smiles offices in Johnsonville and Aynor, allowing her to care for patients across both communities.
Dr. Aston believes dentistry is about more than just treating teeth — it’s about making patients feel comfortable, cared for, and confident in their smiles. She enjoys caring for patients of all ages and is passionate about helping people achieve and maintain healthy smiles for life through compassionate, high-quality dental care.
She currently lives in Galivants Ferry with her husband, Player, and their son, Cullen. Outside the office, Dr. Aston is an active member of Antioch Baptist Church, where she serves as a Sunday School teacher and nursery team member.
Dr. Aston is a member of the American Dental Association and the South Carolina Dental Association. When she’s not practicing dentistry, she enjoys spending time with family, being involved in her church community, and serving the people of the P*e Dee area she is proud to call home.
