Insurance Rumors
We have recently become aware of rumors circulating on social media claiming that Avon Dental will no longer accept dental insurance after the end of this year. This is NOT true.
Currently, Avon Dental is in-network with only two insurances, Guardian and Excellus. However, we submit claims for ALL insurance plans and will always provide that service to our patients.
Like many dental practices, we evaluate our insurance participation each year. Since COVID, insurance reimbursements have decreased while operating costs have risen significantly. As a result, we made the difficult decision at the end of 2021 to leave networks such as Cigna, Aetna, and Delta Dental. In many cases, we have found that patients actually receive higher reimbursements when we are out-of-network.
If we ever decide to go out-of-network with either of our current plans, our patients will be given plenty of notice, as we are committed to being as transparent as possible.
Deciding whether to remain in network is a complex and ongoing consideration for any dental practice. What we can promise is this: we will never compromise quality of care to cut costs.
At Avon Dental, we are committed to:
-Using the HIGHEST quality materials
-Partnering with LOCAL dental representatives and labs
-Supporting LOCAL businesses
-Keeping all work within the United States, never outsourcing overseas
-Providing the same level of care we would want for ourselves and our families
Our priority has always been, and will always be, delivering exceptional care to our patients and their families. We thank you for your continued trust and support.
