Did you know that puffy, bleeding gums could be a sign that you have parasites?

These are REAL parasites we sampled from a patients mouth this week 🔬

There is a small space between your gum tissue and teeth that bacteria and parasites LOVE to hang out in.

Any time your mouth comes into contact with saliva that contains these parasites, either through sharing food/drinks or directly from another person👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨 or pet, they look around for a space big enough to move into.

As you all know I always seek out and incorporate the best technologies and techniques. So, I’m very excited to inform you there is now, for the first time, a treatment option between a filling and a crown.

It’s called Fiber Reinforced Composites(FRCs). A crown comes from antiquated, circa 1800s, knowledge of teeth. FRCs is when NASA-level Aeronautical engineering is combined with dentistry. This technique is so amazing, it reduces the need for crowns by 75% and costs 1/2 as much!

We are officially in a, Snopocalypse. If you have to drive; here are survival tips i’ve mastered from living in Chicago: 1)have a full tank of gas(to add weight to rear wheels and balance out weight of car, 2)slow down via engine braking, which is putting transmission into low gears, 3)anticipate slowing down waaay b4 u need too. 4)no lights at intersections? 4-way stop rules apply. 5)if u skid, steer into the direction of the skid, and don’t touch your brakes! 6) release 10lbs of air outta your tires(running a tad flat gives ya more grip). Honest Family Dental is still taking appointments for routine visits in May. We are still here for our patients with emergencies.
