Texas Dental Association The Voice of Dentistry in Texas

Chartered and incorporated by the State of Texas in 1871, the TEXAS DENTAL ASSOCIATION (TDA) was created to cultivate the science and art of dentistry and to elevate and sustain the professional character of its members. Now, with more than 9,000 members representing almost two-thirds of the state’s dentists, the TDA continues to offer world-class continuing education and practice opportunities. I

t also serves as an advocate for the profession in the legislative arena and allows members the opportunities to help Texas’ most underserved population. Members of the TDA, the state’s largest dental organization, enjoy access to discounts and specials through dozens of dental supply and resource companies.

A new month is a great opportunity to refocus on the goals, relationships, and priorities that matter most. Small, consistent actions often create the biggest impact over time.

At their April meeting, FWDDS had the privilege of welcoming two incredible community partners who are making a meaningful impact in Fort Worth through compassionate healthcare and dental services.

Salt & Light Dental Clinic provides free, comprehensive dental care to individuals experiencing homelessness, low-income families, and those with limited or no access to care. Everyone was excited to hear about their upcoming relocation and expanded vision to offer all phases of dentistry to even more patients in need.

Mercy Clinic continues to serve uninsured patients in Fort Worth through a true “one-stop care” model, offering medical and dental services, lab work, and access to medications, all delivered with dignity and compassion.

Thank you to both organizations for the incredible work you do to care for the community and improve lives every day.

Stress is a real part of dentistry, but so is support.

During 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡, it’s a good time to check in with yourself and recognize how you’re really doing. Small changes can help, and reaching out is always a strong step, not a weak one.

You don’t have to carry it all on your own.

You don’t need perfect conditions to move forward.

Growth doesn’t come from waiting; it comes from starting right where you are, with what you have, and taking that next step.

Progress, no matter how small, is still progress.

While you’re caring for patients, organized dentistry is advocating for the profession.

Through TDA, Texas dentists have a strong voice at the Capitol and in the policies that impact dental practice.
Make sure your voice is part of it.

Endodontic therapy is more than a procedure; it’s a critical part of preserving long-term oral health.

During 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤, we recognize the role dentists play in diagnosing infection, relieving pain, and saving natural teeth through timely, skilled care.

The work you do every day restores function, protects overall health, and makes a lasting impact on your patients’ lives.

Success doesn’t always come from chasing it. It comes from doing work that matters to you.

When you lead with passion, purpose, and belief in what you do, the rest tends to follow.

Stay grounded in why you started. 💙
