To our wonderful patients!
First of all, I hope everyone is doing well - physically, emotionally - living through the COVID-19 pandemic. For all of us in the dental community, teeth are taking a backseat to ensuring the community stays safe.
The team at Lakeway Orthodontics is doing all it can to continue care while complying with government regulations (which are literally changing every day).
On Sunday, March 22, Governor Greg Abbott issued an executive order requiring all Texas-licensed health care professionals to postpone all medical procedures, including dental procedures, that are not medically necessary to correct a serious medical condition or preserve life, until midnight Tuesday, April 21. If you are a patient of record and have an appointment scheduled before April 21, your appointment is cancelled. We will delay rescheduling appointments until the middle of April in case the executive order is extended.
During the mandatory closure, I will be available for virtual appointments to check treatment progress, review oral hygiene, and adjust elastics as needed. I’m not allowed to perform any procedure however that requires the use of gloves/masks/gowns/etc. in order to preserve critical resources for hospitals treating COVID-19 cases. An email will been sent out detailing the logistics of virtual appointments for all active patients. If you didn’t receive it and would like more information, please call the office at 512-263-2993, or send an email to [email protected].
If you are a new patient desiring an initial orthodontic examination, please call or email the office. We can either schedule you after April 21st (with the understanding that we may need to reschedule), or place you on our call list to schedule once we are closer to the end of the executive order.
If you are experiencing a dental emergency, please contact one of the oral surgeons in Lakeway for immediate help. You can call Dr. Jeff Alford at 512-261-6900, or Dr. Robert Hunsaker at 512-263-9544.
Thank you for your patience during this time. I truly appreciate each one of you and will do all I can to make sure your treatment is interrupted as little as possible.
Stay safe, enjoy the opportunity for more time with your family, and please let me know if there is anything I can do for you.
Sincerely,
Dr. Bolerjack
