"The staff at VDC is outstanding. Starting with my first phone call with Kristie I told her about my cat Rosebud who came to our shelter, DuPage County Animal Services (DCAS) as a pregnant stray in 2008. She needed a foster home which I provided and the rest is history. She is now in need of dental care for apparent significant dental issues. At her age of 19 now, I have concerns. Kristie assured me that VDC sees and cares for many older cats, reminding me that older age is not a disease.
On March 18 Rosebud and I met Dr. Hassan who is a very impressive individual. It is not often that after a serious discussion of any nature that I have no questions. After our consultation I had no questions because he exceeded my expectations. Dr. Hasaan was extremely thorough outlining the situation and planned surgical intervention. Photos of significant tooth resorption were presented which was so very interesting and helpful as visual aids.
There were a couple phone calls pre-op and each time the VDC person was amazingly kind, helpful, and supportive. It was SO comforting to have this KIND reassurance, so very reassuring.
The day of surgery was a big day for dear Rosebud, having 10 teeth extracted, no complications. Meeting Dr. Juriga post-op was another VERY impressive event--his explaining in detail with photos the surgical interventions. He too was most KIND, reassuring per his professional manner.
As I started this e-mail, I wrote how outstanding the staff at VDC is and that is how I will close this message, OUTSTANDING AND KIND! Thank you for everything.
