When life gives you lemons... make lemon water? 🍋

While many people like lemon water for its refreshing taste and health benefits, but it can come with a downside for your teeth. The acidity of lemon juice can wear down enamel over time, leading to sensitivity and increasing the risk of cavities. But don’t worry — you can still enjoy it!

Here’s a tip from Associates in Family Dentistry: Drink lemon water occasionally rather than all day long, and try using a straw to keep the acidity away from your teeth. Rinsing with water afterward also helps balance pH levels in your mouth. And remember, wait at least 30 minutes before brushing, so you don’t brush softened enamel away.
