As we wrap up Memorial Day weekend, we hope everyone had time to enjoy moments with family, friends, and a little extra sunshine (between the rainstorms).

Today, we also pause to honor the true meaning behind Memorial Day and remember and pay tribute to the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

As a Navy veteran, Dr. Gregoire holds a deep appreciation for the sacrifice, courage, and commitment of those who served and those we remember today.

From all of us at Gregoire Orthodontics, we are grateful for our fallen heroes and the freedoms their sacrifice made possible. ❤️ 🇺🇸

Today is World Orthodontic Health Day, a good excuse for us to talk about something we genuinely love: seeing confidence grow right alongside a smile.

Orthodontics isn’t just about “perfect teeth.” It can help with bite issues, crowding, cleaning teeth more effectively, speech development, and helping kids and adults feel better when they smile in photos.

We’re incredibly thankful to be trusted by so many families in Auburn, Yarmouth, and the surrounding communities!

Brush your teeth. Revolutionary advice, obviously.

But if you’ve got braces, food loves to hide in brackets and wires, and it doesn’t take long for plaque to move in too. So here’s your friendly reminder, with a few helpful tips:

• Brush after every meal if you can. If not, at least rinse really well until you can get to a toothbrush.
• Angle your toothbrush toward the brackets, then above and below them. Don’t just skim the surface.
• Take your time. A quick once-over won’t cut it.
• Use a soft-bristled brush or electric toothbrush to get around all the tiny spaces.
• Flossing matters. Yes, even with braces. Floss threaders or water flossers make it way easier.
• Don’t forget the gumline. Healthy gums make for better orthodontic results.
• For school or work, pack a mini kit if possible. Toothbrush, toothpaste, floss picks. If brushing isn’t an option, rinse well with water and stick to softer, braces-friendly foods.

Dr. Gregoire and Berenice showed up accidentally matching yesterday. As fun as that was, we’re working toward something even better—a confident, healthy smile.
