Today is International Day of Charity, and it's a good reminder of why we started the Brighten Your Smile, Better the World project in the first place.

Over the years, this campaign has let us give back more than $100,000 to local schools and causes we care about, from supporting students right here in Chamblee to backing organizations doing meaningful work across Atlanta. It's one of the parts of running this practice we're proudest of.

Giving back isn't a one-day thing for us, but today felt like a good day to say thank you to everyone in this community who makes it possible.

At Brookhaven Family Dentistry, we believe good dentistry is just as much about knowing when not to treat as it is knowing when treatment is necessary.

We don’t believe every old filling automatically needs to be replaced. We don’t believe every patient needs Invisalign or braces. And we don’t believe every sign of gum inflammation requires the same aggressive treatment.

Every patient is different. We look at your individual risk factors, symptoms, X-rays, clinical findings, and long-term oral health before making a recommendation.

Our goal is simple: recommend the treatment that makes sense for you while preserving as much healthy tooth structure as possible and avoiding unnecessary dental work.

Drill as a last resort. That’s what conservative, minimally invasive dentistry means to us.

Brookhaven Family Dentistry is proud to sponsor the 4th Annual OLA Run to Church 5K & Fun Run on Saturday, August 29.

Hosted by Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Brookhaven, this family-friendly event includes a Fun Run and a chip-timed, USATF-certified 5K. Proceeds benefit Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church - Atlanta 's St. Vincent de Paul Society, which provides financial assistance to neighbors in need.

We’ll also be there on race day with a Brookhaven Family Dentistry table, so be sure to stop by and say hello.

We’re proud to support the 2026 Morning of Hope Gala benefiting St. Vincent de Paul Georgia.

St. Vincent de Paul Georgia brings together local businesses, organizations, volunteers, and supporters to help neighbors across Georgia facing housing instability, food insecurity, health challenges, and financial hardship.

In 2025 alone, St. Vincent de Paul Georgia helped prevent more than 10,000 evictions, distributed more than 3.3 million pounds of food, and filled more than 27,000 lifesaving prescriptions.

At Brookhaven Family Dentistry, we’re grateful for the opportunity to support an organization making such a meaningful difference throughout our state. Supporting Morning of Hope is another way we can continue investing in the community we are proud to serve.
