I was lucky to work with Dr. Richard Raymond at on this case. The patient had a failing root canal on her right central incisor. Dr. Raymond saved the tooth with endodontic surgery, and after he internally bleached the discolored tooth. After bleaching was completed I restored the tooth with a chair side composite veneer also known as bonding. This sweet patient is now wedding ready for her upcoming wedding. 😁

Be careful climbing trees 🌲

This teenager fell out of a tree and landed on his face. It happened on a Sunday a couple of months ago and luckily, I was the on-call doctor 😉

I met him and his dad at the office that day and I did these composite bondings by myself (you REALLY appreciate your assistants when you have to work solo 😅)

I don’t know what was worse for him, working on these traumatized teeth on a Sunday, or watching the Falcons blow another game while doing so 😤

He had to have root canals for both teeth but everything still looks good several months post op. At some point, he’ll probably need crowns, but I hope to ride these fillings as long as possible.

I have a love/hate relationship with anterior bonding because I believe it is one of the hardest things to do in dentistry.

Anterior bondings are fillings I place to close gaps, improve embrasures, line angles, repair chips/broken teeth, etc. It is more conservative and cost effective for the patient than veneers if the patient is a candidate.

It is gratifying that I am able to change something a patient doesn’t like about themselves in a matter of minutes.

My favorite part is taking the after photo and comparing. 99.999% of the time, the patient’s smile is bigger and broader b/c they no longer have to consciously or unconsciously hide their teeth.

This took less than an hour and no shots were needed 💉 😎
