We are excited to celebrate another group of graduates from the Healthy Choices for Every Body workshop with Open Hand! Health and well-being go far beyond the exam room and understanding nutrition is a crucial part of our everyday lives. We are grateful for Open Hand and their commitment to providing practical tools that help individuals and their families make informed and healthy choices. This past Saturday, we hosted our annual Back to School Bash and it was a tremendous success! We’re thrilled to share that we served and prepared a Good Sam record of 121 children for the upcoming school year. Thank you to our incredible sponsors Lincoln Property Company in partnership with Echo Street West, Aetna/, and Waffle House, along with every volunteer, staff member, Board member, vendor, and parent who made this day so special. In just seven weeks, transformation can truly take root. Yesterday, ten participants graduated from the Healthy Choices for Every Body workshop with Open Hand, gaining practical tools to nourish themselves and their families. From understanding nutrition to cooking together, prepping meals, and learning how to make every dollar count at the grocery store, this class offered a new understanding of what healthy choices can look like in our everyday lives.

We are grateful to offer programs like this that help shape health beyond the exam room and even more grateful for partners like Open Hand, who show up ready to change lives. Open Hand Atlanta

Hello Good Sam Family! As you know, our annual Back to School Bash is next Saturday, August 1st from 7:30am - 12:00pm and we are in need of a few helping hands! 😃🙏🏽After students receive their health screenings and dental cleanings, they get to enjoy a fun-filled mini carnival and we need volunteers to help set-up and run those “stations”.
