Before buying dental insurance because it says, โ€œimplant coverage,โ€ kindly retrieve your metaphorical magnifying glass. ๐Ÿ”Ž

Many plans today offer some level of implant coverage, but before you start mentally spending those benefits, there are two important details lurking in the fine print:
1๏ธโƒฃ Does the plan actually cover implants?
2๏ธโƒฃ Does it have a missing tooth clause?

That second one can be particularly sneaky. Think of it somewhat like a pre-existing condition provision for a tooth that was already missing before your coverage began.

The moral of the story is this: Know what your plan covers before counting on it to help pay for implants.
