Dear Brock Dental Patients,

We would like to take a moment to thank you for the love, kindness, and support you have given to Brock Dental and our family over the last two months. Dr. Brock deeply valued each of you, not just as patients, but as friends and members of our community.

As you may have heard, Brock Dental has recently been in the process of being sold, marking the end of an important chapter in our lives. The past two months have been challenging, but it has been made meaningful and comforting because of your continued loyalty, encouragement, and trust.

Thank you for staying with Brock Dental through this change and for continuing to support the practice. It is our expectation that you will continue to receive excellent care and feel the same warmth and compassion from the new owner, Dr. Connor Wasylucha.

Dr. Connor Wasylucha is truly honored to continue the legacy of care Dr. Brock built in this community. Originally from Alberta, Canada, Connor completed his undergraduate studies at Walla Walla University, where he met his wife, Alyssa, and later earned his DDS degree from Loma Linda University in 2022. During dental school, they welcomed two children, and today they are blessed with four children, with another on the way.

Connor believes dentistry is about relationships first. He is passionate about serving families with integrity and compassion while leveraging the latest technology to provide a comfortable, high-quality experience. He looks forward to offering everything from general dentistry services to cosmetics, full mouth rehabilitation, and advanced implant procedures such as All-on-X, implant dentures, and sinus lifts — all right here in your community.

Connor and his family are grateful for the opportunity to be part of this area and look forward to getting to know each of you personally in the years ahead.

Brock Dental will fully transition to McMinn Dental Center in the coming days. Although the name will change, you will still see the same office staff that you have grown to love over the years and they are excited to see you!

Dr. Wasylucha is going to be in-network with several insurance companies (including the state insurance carrier). Feel free to give the office a call at 423-745-5212 to set up any future appointments.

We are happy to answer any questions you may have and look forward to continuing to serve you with phenomenal dental care!

Teachers!! You know we always try to take care of our teachers/state employees, so we have some exciting news!

Brock Dental is in the process of being sold and that transition should happen by the end of February. When all is official, I will post a letter introducing the new dentist! In speaking with him and letting him know our history of working with teacher insurance, he wants to continue that history and will be going in-network with MetLife (as well as Cigna and Aetna). The process of him becoming an in-network provider for Metlife should be completed by mid-late March. He is also continuing our in-network provider status with Delta and BCBS.

Thank you to all of our amazing patients who have been so gracious during this time and for sticking with us! We are almost there and I am looking forward to introducing the new dentist to you very soon!

Due to icy roads and many of our employees’ roads still covered (pics were as of 6:30 pm), Brock Dental will be closed tomorrow, Monday, February 2nd. We will reach out to patients on Tuesday, February 3rd to reschedule your appointments and return messages left over the weekend. We are deeply saddened of the unexpected passing of Dr. Alan Brock, who has been a cherished member of our community and provided exemplary dental care in Athens, TN for the past 17 years. His compassion, dedication, and commitment to his patients were evident in every interaction. His gentle touch, knowledgable insight and timely humor put his patients at ease knowing that they were in good hands under his care. He will be missed dearly by his family, staff, and all of you, his loyal patients.

During this difficult time, we want to assure you that your care remains our top priority. Dr. Brock’s family is surrounded by a supportive network of local dentists who have graciously stepped in to ensure that his practice continues to operate seamlessly. We are committed to providing you with the high standard of dental care that you have come to expect.

For those of you with scheduled appointments, please rest assured that we will continue to see you to assist with all of your dental needs. We encourage you to reach out to our office with any questions or concerns you may have—we are here to help. As previously scheduled, we are closed through January 4th and will reopen on January 5th.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding and compassion as we navigate through this challenging period. Please keep the Brock family in your thoughts and prayers as they mourn their profound loss.

Today we say our final “Have a good weekend, see you Monday.” to an employee who has worked her entire career for Brock Dental (and previously Charles Bivens). Debbie has spent over 41 years of loving and serving McMinn County residents as your amazing dental hygienist (many of our patients have only ever had Debbie as their one and only hygienist). Debbie, we are so grateful for your incredible work ethic and your love for your patients!! We love you and you will forever be part of our dental family! You deserve every moment of rest and relaxation!! Happy Retirement, Debbie!

We will potentially have last-minute availability due to other patients not being able to safely make it to the office.
