The Dental Implant Surgical Seminar helps general and restorative dentists expand their private practice into implant surgery.

The Dental Implant Surgical Seminar (DISS) helps general and restorative dentists expand their private practice into implant surgery. The seminar provides a thorough introduction to dental implantology combined with hands-on training on a minimum of 15 implants, all in live patients. In the course of an intensive of 4-day program, DISS participants learn surgery techniques, soft tissue management

and the armamentarium of modern dental implantology, including digital technology tools. DISS graduates can perform basic dental implant surgery, troubleshoot and conduct follow-ups in their own offices. They can comfortably place implants next to natural teeth and provide general and restorative treatments to patients with a full overdenture. Successful completion of DISS creates a solid foundation for more advanced courses currently under consideration or in development. DISS programs are conducted at Universidad Francisco Marroquin (UFM) Schoolof Dentistry in Guatemala, one of the leading universities in Latin America. UFM has a state-of-the-art dental clinic with on-premise digital X-Rays, CT Scanners, intraoral scanners, a 3D printer for the surgical guide and a full digital scanner for restorative work. DISS was founded by Dr. Omid Termechi, a leading practitioner, educator and innovator in implant dentistry.
