Sometimes, patients want subtle improvement.

This young woman, who grew up in Aspen, did Invisalign with us in her early 20s. She later moved away and stopped wearing her retainer/night guard combination. When she returned 12 years later, she had some minor crowding in her lower teeth and uneven wear, along with a strong recollection of our earlier conversations about whiter vs. more white and adding tooth volume to her smile.

This time, she was ready to add that volume.

After a short round of Invisalign to touch things up, we added volume, but just a bit. She wasn’t looking for ideal, just a slight improvement toward it.

It was just enough to give her the confidence boost she was looking for.

This Aspen woman had a good smile, but noticed her teeth were starting to wear and her lips were thinning. So we designed an Ageless Smile for her that gave her a bit more lip support, restored the wear, and gave her an overall brighter appearance.

You’ve had this moment. The hygienist finishes your cleaning, glances at her notes and says it almost as an afterthought: “Just a little bleeding back here. Nothing to worry about.”

You nod. You forget about it before you’ve left your parking spot. That sentence may be the most dangerous thing said in your dentist’s office all year.

Ask yourself: What other part of your body do we consider fine if it bleeds every time we wash it? If your scalp bled every time you brushed your hair, you’d call a doctor that afternoon. If your skin bled in the shower, you’d assume something was seriously wrong. Somewhere along the way, we decided gums were the exception. They’re not.
