Today we are shining the spotlight on Emma!

Emma is an orthodontic assistant in our Marion and Rutherfordton locations. She joined the TSODS team in August of 2024 and has continued to be a steadfast light in the office ever since.

• Favorite summer vacation spot?
My favorite vacation destination is anywhere tropical — especially if it involves a cruise ship and sunshine! 🌴
• Favorite thing to bake?
I love baking, and my favorite thing to make is a classic chocolate chip cookie. You can never go wrong with the classics!
• How do you celebrate your birthday?
I usually celebrate my birthday with my twin sister by going out to dinner with our family each year. It’s one of my favorite traditions! 🎂
• Your favorite color combo for braces?
Navy and pink! A perfect mix of bold and fun!
• Fun fact
A fun fact about me is that I have a twin sister! We were born only two minutes apart.👯

Everyone meet Haylee!

Haylee is an orthodontic assistant in our North and South Asheville locations. She’s been part of the TSO team since 2022 and was actually a patient of Dr. Scanlan’s before becoming an employee — she loved it here so much, she decided to stay! 😜

• Favorite color combo for braces?
Obviously light blue and bubblegum! It looks like cotton candy!
• Would you rather read a book or listen to a podcast?
Definitely read a book! You can usually find me anywhere books are around. 📚 Some of my favorite authors are Sarah J. Maas and Riley Sager — they always have great picks!
• Preferred ice cream flavor?
Tough, I love all ice cream. If I had to choose one, probably strawberry cheesecake OR birthday cake! 🍦
• Where is your “happiest place on earth”?
I actually have two! The first is anywhere with family or close friends — wherever there’s love, laughter, and joy is exactly where I want to be. The second? Well, you said it yourself… the “Happiest Place on Earth,” Disney World! ✨
• Fun fact about yourself?
Not a lot of people know this, but I actually have a tooth tattoo! I love what I do, I love connecting with people and families through dentistry! How better to commemorate that than a cool tattoo?!

Ashtyn has been an orthodontic assistant in the Marion and Rutherfordton locations since March of 2025. She is a continual source of laughter for her co-workers!
