Meet Dr. Ziehmer
My name is Richard Ziehmer and I am currently living in Summerfield, N.C. with my lovely wife, Gina and our beautiful daughter, Zia. Together, we are pleased to make your acquaintance. I was born and raised in Tucson, AZ. Growing up, I was always very active in football and baseball, and I also enjoyed outdoor activities such as hunting and more specifically, archery hunting. To say that I am passionate about archery hunting is an understatement…it is one of the many loves of my life. My favorite adventure in the archery hunting world is to Elk hunt. In my opinion there is nothing better than chasing after huge bulls in the crisp, cool, clean air of the mountains in central Arizona and New Mexico. And when I’m not hunting Elk during September you can be sure I will be attempting to watch as many college football games as humanly possible. Speaking of football, did I mention that I am a huge Notre Dame Football fan? Come Saturdays during the fall, you can find me cheering on the Fighting Irish!
Gina did most of her growing up in Central Florida, where her family still remains. Gina was also active in sports and dance and thoroughly enjoys cooking fine Italian foods and baking delicious sweet treats. Come Saturday’s during the fall, you can find her trying to steal the T.V. remote to change the station to the Florida Gators, her alma mater.
After graduating with a degree in Journalism from The University of Florida, Gina worked in Florida and North Carolina before accepting a TV News Anchor position in Tucson in 2006. Gina and I met through a mutual acquaintance in 2009, were engaged a short time after and were married in October of 2011.
