Kazumi grew up in Tokyo, Japan, where she earned a B.A. in Communication from J.F. Oberlin University. In 2010, she moved to Maryland with her husband, Matt, whom she met while he served in the U.S. Navy in Japan, and their two energetic boys. After settling in Maryland, her local dental hygienist Laurie, inspired her to change careers and enter the dental field.
Today, she channels that passion into her work, dedicating herself to educating patients and empowering them to understand their oral health. Her greatest joy is achieving successful periodontal therapy outcomes, which she credits to strong patient and provider co-therapy. Committed to personalized care, she tailors a custom approach for every patient to help them reach their personal goals. She continually attends CE courses to stay current, ensuring she brings the best and most up-to-date care to everyone she treats.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys tackling DIY house projects, making crafts and, most importantly, spending quality time with her family (+3 cats ) and friends.
