He later specialized in periodontics, receiving his degree from the University of Maryland in 1979. Dr. Perez felt so strongly about his specialty, that he decided to share his knowledge and accepted a position as an associate professor at the Georgetown University School of Dentistry, Department of Periodontics, where he taught from 1979 until 1990. Dr. Perez achieved diplomate status with the Am
erican Board of Periodontology in 1985. Doctor Perez holds membership in the following dental organizations:
