In 1982, Professor Per-Ingvar Brånemark, widely recognized as the “Father of Implant Dentistry”, introduced the groundbreaking science of osseointegration to North America.

Inspired by his work, a small group of clinicians came together to study, share and advance this emerging science. That group would eventually become the Academy of Osseointegration (AO).

From those pioneering beginnings to an international community of implant dentistry professionals, AO has remained committed to the same principles that brought our founders together: science, education, collaboration and better patient care.

Students and researchers are invited to submit original research and clinical cases in:
• Oral Research (Scientific & Clinical)
• Clinical Innovations
• ePosters (Scientific, Clinical & Case Presentations/Studies)

✨ Abstract submissions are FREE, and there's no limit to the number of abstracts you can submit.

🏆 Presentation Awards
• Best Oral Clinical & Scientific Research Presentation — $1,000 + plaque
• Best Clinical Innovations Presentation — $1,000 + plaque
• First Place ePoster Presentation — $500 + plaque
• Second Place ePoster Presentation — $250 + plaque
• Best Case Study Presentation — $500 + plaque

✈️ Student Travel Grants
The Osseointegration Foundation will award 55 Student Travel Grants of $1,000 each to the highest-scored student-submitted Oral and ePoster abstracts from authors enrolled full-time in an academic dental program at the time of the meeting.
