Single central incisor cases are always a challenge. It’s never just about matching a tooth shade; we also look into making sure the shape, texture, and translucency match its neighbors and that it properly functions with the opposing teeth.
Here's a case where we replaced a front tooth crown that had recurrent decay but also a shade mismatch (ie. too white/opaque) and darkened root exposure due to gum recession.
We made the patient a new crown, fixing the shade and also adding the appearance of a small craze line to match the patient's teeth to create a more natural effect! Grateful for the chance to take on cases like this, and even more grateful for patients who trust the process and end up leaving thrilled with the end-result! 😁
