Our office is set to reopen for normal business effective June 1st, 2020. We have been approved as a County of San Bernardino COVID-Complaint Business Partner.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff, and to enforce social distancing protocol. For example:

• Masks will be required in the office while not in treatment.
• Each time you come to the office, you will be asked some
screening questions, we’ll have you sign a COVID-19
consent form, in addition to taking your temperature.
• You will now wait in your vehicle until the staff is ready to
seat you for your visit.
• Only the patient will be allowed in the room. Unless the
patient is a minor, then only ONE parent may accompany
the child. Please leave your other family members at
home or in your vehicle.
• We will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys etc.,
since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
• We have installed glass “sneeze guards” at the front
desk, an “Air Scrubber” device on our air conditioning
system, and HEPA filters throughout the office.
• The dental treatment team will be wearing full Personal
Protective Equipment.

We will be seeing EMERGENCIES ONLY (pain, infection, broken temporary crowns) effective Monday March 23rd, 2020 until the state lifts the "stay-at-home" order. If you have an appointment already scheduled, our staff will be reaching out to you to reschedule that appointment. If you are in pain, have swelling or discomfort, please call the office before coming for instructions. We may have reduced hours during this time. In an effort to maintain social distancing, we are offering curb-side check in. If you are an established patient, please call the office when you arrive. We will call or text you when we are ready to seat you, so that you may wait in your vehicle. If you are experiencing any of the Coronavirus symptoms, please do not enter our facility, and contact your health professional.

As the Coronavirus / COVID-19 and its impact continues to evolve and develop, we remain focused on the health and safety of our employees and our communities, as well as our commitment to you, our patients and your families.

We are here to serve and support you and are working hard to ensure our Apple Dental Center team members can continue to provide uninterrupted, dependable service. Some of you may see our team members from time to time. We have asked some of them to work from home for the next several weeks to support their health and safety as well as yours. We are also aware that some of our patients may experience hardships as a result of Coronavirus. Our staff is aware and sympathetic to the circumstances of those impacted.

As always, it is expected that we will continue to be available as needed for emergency care and services. Patients who are experiencing acute respiratory illness such as coughing, fever and shortness of breath, should remain home and reschedule appointments.
