This drawing may have predicted our practice name years before Carousel ever existed… 🎠
People often ask how we came up with the name Carousel Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics.
When we were preparing to open our startup practice in November 2020, we knew we wanted a name that was memorable, centered around kids and families, and not tied to our last name or location.
After tossing around lots of ideas, Carousel came to mind — and it immediately felt right.
It felt playful, timeless, and full of joy. Something kids would be drawn to, and parents and grandparents would connect with, too.
Then a few years later, my mom dropped off a box of my childhood drawings. As I flipped through pages filled with horses, rainbows, stars, and unicorns, I came across this elaborate carousel drawing I had made when I was about 8 years old.
It stopped me in my tracks.
Maybe the idea had been tucked away in my subconscious all along?!
Looking back, it feels like Carousel was always meant to be — a reflection of the wonder, imagination, and joy we hope every child feels when they walk through our doors. ✨
