Storytime can be a fun way to help little ones get ready for the dentist!

For National Read a Book Day, we're sharing a few dental-themed books that can help children learn about brushing, healthy teeth, and what to expect when it's time for a dental visit. 🦷

Reading about the dentist before an appointment can help make the experience feel more familiar, while giving kids a chance to ask questions and talk about what they're curious about.

Myth or Fact? 🤔

If your child's gums bleed while brushing, you should stop brushing.

❌ MYTH

Bleeding gums can be a sign that the gums are irritated or inflamed, and stopping brushing may allow more plaque to build up.

Instead, continue brushing gently with a soft-bristled toothbrush and make flossing part of the daily routine. If bleeding continues or you're concerned about your child's gums, be sure to talk with their dentist.

September is National Gum Care Month, making it a great time to give those gums a little extra attention! 🦷💛

Meet Kendall, one of our wonderful dental assistants! 💛🦷

Kendall began her career in dentistry in 2024 and joined the Blossom team in 2025. She supports both our pediatric dental and orthodontic teams, helping create positive experiences and healthy smiles for the children and families we serve.
When she's not at the office, Kendall enjoys traveling, hunting, snowboarding, and spending time with her family and her two dogs, Molly and Blaise. 🐾

We're so grateful for Kendall's enthusiasm, compassion, and dedication, and we're lucky to have her as part of the Blossom family!
