We've been seeing so many wonderful new faces lately in our dental office, as well as new followers of our social media accounts, so now feels like a great time to share more about the leader of our practice, Dr. Throckmorton! 🦷
Many patients know Dr. Throckmorton as the kind face in the operatory chair, but here are a few things you may not know about him!
His journey into dentistry started with a love of working with his hands. Growing up, he spent time helping his dad work on cars and his grandpa with chores on his farm, and that hands-on mindset eventually led him to dentistry — a career that combines problem solving, precision, and helping people.
One of the things he values most is creating positive experiences for patients, especially those who may feel nervous about visiting the dentist. Helping people feel comfortable and changing the way they think about dental care is one of his favorite parts of the job.
Outside the office, Dr. Throckmorton is a big outdoors enthusiast. He enjoys hiking (with multiple 14ers already conquered!), kayaking, hunting, and taking advantage of time outside whenever possible. He’s also a dedicated Minnesota Vikings fan and was a member of the trapshooting club during his time at Iowa.
And a fun fact that may surprise you: he’s also the chef at home and cooks the majority of the family meals! 👨🍳
