✨ Big news! After 43 wonderful years, Dr. Bruce Brittain has officially retired. He’s recovering well from surgery however his arthritis in his hand is getting worse and another surgery is potentially in his future. He sends his heartfelt thanks to all of you for your years of trust and friendship.

I’m Dr. Elizabeth McKay (formerly Dr. Mitchell, just married!) and am honored to carry forward the legacy at McKay Dentistry. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting a lot of you, I’ve been working in the office since May, and I look forward to meeting those of you who I haven’t yet!

Same location, same team, same great care — with some exciting updates on the way! We can’t wait to see you soon 🦷💙

As many of you have already heard, I will be having rotator cuff surgery this week. Recovery typically involves an extended healing and rehabilitation period of 3 to 6 months, during which my activity will be somewhat limited, aside from physical therapy.

To ensure you continue to receive excellent care during my recovery, I am pleased to introduce Dr. Elizabeth Mitchell. We recently welcomed her to our practice, and she has already proven to be an exceptional addition.

Dr. Mitchell brings four years of experience and has worked in two busy practices, making her exceptionally well-prepared for this role. She is known for her steady hands, brilliant skills, kind demeanor, thorough approach, and clear communication – the very qualities I value in a dental professional. Early feedback from patients she has already met has been overwhelmingly positive.

As I focus on healing, Dr. Mitchell will take excellent care of you, and I have full confidence in her abilities. We are also exploring future plans together, including the possibility of her purchasing the practice. This is a thoughtful process, and we will keep you updated as it moves forward.

Thank you for your support and understanding during this time. I appreciate your patience as we make this transition, and I look forward to seeing you again once I have fully recovered.

Bruce opened his dental practice 09-19-1983 and began providing dental care for Andover and the surrounding communities. 41 years later, and he’s still Providing excellent care for our patients.

Last Thur was my last “official” day and I was BEYOND a blessed by all the patients who brought gifts, cards, sent emails and texts and stopped by just to say goodbye to me! We are all truly family and it has been my honor serving you. I can’t even begin to say how much I will miss my work family. They are simply the best!!!!! While we are excited to see what God has next for us it’s hard to say goodbye so instead I’ll just say “See ya later”! Because like several of our patients I too will be flying back to have Bruce do all my dental work! And if you’re ever flying and hear ”This is your pilot Murphy Ownbey” know that you are in good hands as well! Love you all!!!!!
