For the past six weeks, we’ve had the pleasure of having Davis with us at Helton Family Dental Care as he completed his CODE (Community-Oriented Dental Education) rotation through the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry. 🦷🎓

As part of their fourth year of dental school, students are required to complete a CODE rotation, which gives them the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience providing dental care in a community-based setting outside of the dental school.

During his six weeks with us, Davis was able to provide dental services to many patients at no cost or at a discounted rate, while also completing clinical requirements that count toward his graduation. It has been a wonderful opportunity for both Davis and the patients he has served!

Our entire staff has truly enjoyed having Davis as part of our team these past six weeks. We’ve enjoyed watching him learn, grow, and gain confidence as he gets closer to completing dental school and beginning his career as a dentist.

We’re proud to be a CODE rotation site and to have the opportunity to play a small part in educating and encouraging the next generation of dentists—especially those who may one day choose to serve communities like ours. ❤️
