As amputees, we often talk about walking again, returning to work, or getting back to the activities we love. But there are certain moments that stay with a prosthetist forever.

In this video, I asked Bryan about some of his most memorable patients and what it feels like when someone takes their first steps and says something like:

"This feels almost as good as I remember my real leg feeling."

For most people, that's hard to put into words. For a prosthetist, it's a reminder of why they do what they do every day.

Behind every prosthesis is a person, a story, and a team working to help someone regain confidence, independence, and mobility.

Check out Bryan's answer and let us know what your most memorable prosthetic moment was.

💬 Question of the Day 💬

What is one thing you've accomplished since your injury, surgery, or limb loss that you're proud of?

Maybe it was taking your first steps.
Maybe it was returning to work.
Maybe it was learning to drive again, play sports, travel, or simply regain your independence.

No accomplishment is too small. Every milestone matters, and every victory deserves to be celebrated.

Share your answer in the comments. Your story might be exactly what someone else needs to hear today.

At Leimkuehler OP Center, we're inspired every day by the determination, resilience, and strength of the people we serve.

Monday Motivation

Every journey starts with a single step.

For some, that step is returning to work.
For others, it's taking their first walk after surgery, learning to trust a new prosthesis, or simply getting out of bed and deciding not to give up.

Progress doesn't have to be fast to be meaningful. The small victories matter just as much as the big ones.

As we start a new week, focus on what you can do today. Then build on it tomorrow.

Keep moving forward. One step, one goal, one victory at a time.

At Leimkuehler OP Center, we're honored to be part of that journey every day.

One of our favorite things to do at Leimkuehler OP Center is open our doors to students and show them what happens behind the scenes.

Recently, we had the opportunity to spend time with S.T.E.M. students and walk them through the world of prosthetics. From learning how prostheses are fabricated to seeing how different components work together, these students got a hands-on look at the combination of healthcare, engineering, technology, and creativity that goes into every device.

You never know who in the group might become a future prosthetist, engineer, clinician, or inventor.

Thank you for spending time with us.

Kids do not come with an off switch.

That is why every child deserves care built around their goals, personality, and lifestyle. At Leimkuehler OP Center, we specialize in pediatric orthotics and prosthetics and understand that growing bodies need customized care.

We love helping kids get back to doing what they do best... being active, curious, and unstoppable.

Big congratulations to my friend Zack, who took home his brand-new Slingshot Bionics socket today!

As amputees, we know how much of a difference a comfortable socket can make. It affects everything from walking and working to spending time with family and simply enjoying life. A great socket can truly be life-changing.

What makes today even more exciting is that Zack became the first amputee at Leimkuehler OP Center to receive a Slingshot Bionics socket. It's always exciting to see new technology being introduced when it has the potential to improve comfort and mobility for amput
Zack has put in the work throughout this process, and we're all excited to see how he does with his new setup.

Join me in congratulating Zack on this milestone and wishing him many comfortable miles ahead!

Cleveland football fans might recognize this one 👀🏈

Our lab team is hard at work creating a custom prosthetic socket with some serious Browns pride built into it. One of the coolest parts of prosthetics is seeing personality come through in the final product. A prosthesis is something you wear every day, so why not make it something that feels like you?

Built for function. Built for comfort. Built with a little hometown spirit.

Would you rock your favorite team on your socket?

FAQ Friday

How often should a prosthesis be checked?

Many people assume once they receive a prosthesis, they are set for years. The reality is your body changes, activity levels change, and even small fit changes can affect comfort and function.

Regular follow-ups can help identify small issues before they become bigger problems and can improve comfort, confidence, and overall mobility.

If something feels different, don't wait.

Have you ever had a small adjustment make a huge difference? Let us know below.
