Your son or daughter could be catching something cool – as in, lake water cool – very soon.
Specifically, it could happen on June 3, the date of the City’s next “Learning to Fish” class. Back at Mayfield Park, novice anglers (seriously, this is geared toward those with no experience) will learn and practice the ins-and-outs of fishing from the pier. They’ll even cast lines in hopes of snaring a largemouth bass, bluegill, or black crappie fish. Whatever they do catch will be released back into the pond, perhaps to be caught again.
To sign-up (for a mere $5 per resident), go to https://secure.rec1.com/GA/city-of-milton/catalog?filter=c2VhcmNoPTQzMjA4OTU=.
The class will run from 4 to 6 p.m. that Wednesday. It’s another offering of our Outdoor Academy, a multi-faceted effort led by our very own “Ranger Jen” Young to connect young people with nature.
