Dr. Monica was born and raised in Georgia and after attending the University of Georgia, she pursued her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Medical College of Georgia. Her love for treating children led her to pursue specialty training in pediatric dentistry from UT Health

Science Center. She had been practicing in a larger pediatric practice in Georgia for 11 years when she decided to found Tiny Tooth Pediatric Dentistry. It’s clear her passion for pediatric dentistry lies in caring for tiny teeth and making smiles bigger. She can often be heard singing a soft lullaby or telling an intricate distracting story while doing treatment on her little ones. She has a gift and can’t wait to share it! Come visit us in Milton or Cu***ng and see for yourself.

This is something many parents miss 👇

Mouth breathing is NOT the norm for kids.

Healthy breathing = through the nose.
Anything else could mean the airway needs attention. 👀

🚩 Mouth open at rest
🚩 Snoring or poor sleep
🚩 Always tired or struggling to focus
🚩 Dry mouth / bad breath

This isn’t just about teeth — it can affect your child’s growth, sleep, and development.

At Tiny Tooth, we look at the full picture. 🦷✨

If your child is mouth breathing, it’s worth a closer look.

End-of-day huddle… or group chat energy? 👀😂

Did you know your child’s first permanent molars usually come in around age 6–7?

And here’s the tricky part… they come in behind the baby teeth — so many parents don’t even realize they’re there!

These “6-year molars” are super important for your child’s bite, growth, and long-term oral health. That means keeping them clean (and protected!) from the start is key.

Pro tip: If your child is around this age, take a peek way in the back — you might spot them!

Questions about what to look for? We’re always here to help. 💛

Cavities aren’t the whole story… and they never have been. 🦷✨

At Tiny Tooth, we look at the bigger picture of your child’s health — because how they breathe, sleep, grow, and function matters just as much as their teeth.

Tongue posture. Airway. Grinding. Sleep quality.
These are all pieces of the puzzle that shape your child’s development.

💭 What if dentistry wasn’t just about fixing problems… but preventing them before they begin?

That’s the kind of care we believe in. 💛

😂 If you don’t like flossing… you should try…

…again! 😜🦷

Seriously though, flossing can take some getting used to—but once it becomes part of the routine, your teeth (and your dentist!) will thank you. 💛

✨ Floss today. Thank yourself later.

This filter really can save you money at the dentist! 😂

Flossing every day helps remove plaque and food between the teeth—helping prevent cavities, gum problems, and expensive dental treatments down the road. 🙌

Most parents think crooked teeth are genetic…

But what if the real issue starts with how your child breathes? 👃➡️👄

Mouth breathing isn’t just a habit — it’s a growth pattern.

When a child breathes through their mouth:
• The tongue drops from the palate
• The upper jaw grows narrow
• The airway becomes smaller
• The face grows downward instead of forward

Over time, this can lead to:
✨ Crowded teeth
✨ Dark circles + tired eyes
✨ Snoring or restless sleep
✨ Behavioral challenges that mimic ADHD
✨ Underdeveloped jaws + smaller airways

These are not random quirks. These are early warning signs.

The good news?
When caught early, we can guide proper growth, support healthy breathing, and help kids thrive — not just dentally, but whole-body health.

💛 If your child sleeps with their mouth open, snores, or seems constantly tired… it’s worth a closer look.
