Dr. Abbey was invited to speak at the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Annual Session in Las Vegas about start-up ownership 🎙️It was an incredible opportunity to share about the Mini Molars journey and meet new colleagues!

To all of our patients who have joined the Mini Molars family - THANK YOU! This dream wouldn’t be a reality without you! 🩵

There are lots of things we can do to make brushing teeth fun 🥳 songs, apps, role play, autonomy over toothbrush characters and toothpaste flavors, etc. - but at the end of the day, brushing sometimes involves tears (just like diaper changes) and that’s okay!! Thanks to all the parents out there fighting the good fight 💪

The AAP and AAPD (and Mini Molars!!) recommend:
➡️ a tiny smear of toothpaste containing fluoride **as soon as the first tooth erupts** until 3 years old
➡️a pea-sized amount after 3 years old

Training toothpastes serve no purpose except to TRAIN your kid how to brush (aka to practice, play, chew on the toothbrush).

If your family opts to be fluoride-free, consider using a nanohydroxyapatite toothpaste instead of a training toothpaste!

Dentistry can be pain-free but it isn’t always sensation-free. Finding a dentist who can coach your child through a procedure is important! For our families who are seeking a sensation-free experience for their nervous kiddo, we also offer IV sedation. Give us a call at (470) 299-0131 if you have questions about how we can create a positive appointment for your child!

Start brushing your child’s teeth as soon as the first tooth comes into the mouth and continue helping them until they can tie their own shoes (usually 7-8 years old!)

đź’§A rice-sized amount of fluoride toothpaste is recommended from 1st tooth until child turns 3!
