Dental injuries can happen in an instant—but knowing what to expect and how to care for your child afterward can help put your mind at ease. 🦷💙

A mouth injury can look overwhelming, especially when a small amount of blood mixes with saliva. Fortunately, many dental injuries have an excellent prognosis with appropriate evaluation and follow-up. After an injury, we often recommend a soft-food diet for a short period, keeping your child comfortable with Tylenol or ibuprofen as directed, and scheduling a dental examination so we can assess the injury, obtain baseline X-rays if indicated, and monitor healing over time.

Not too long ago, we were side by side in dental school—late nights, exams, clinics, and chasing the same dream. We pushed each other, learned from one another, and celebrated every milestone along the way.

Being able to welcome those same friends into my own practice and share what we’re growing at Lesavoy Pediatric Dentistry is one of those true full-circle moments I’m incredibly grateful for. 💙

It’s a reminder that while the journey may take us in different directions, the friendships and support we build along the way are some of the most meaningful parts of it all.

As a fourth-generation Allentonian, Dr. Bret’s connection to the Lehigh Valley runs deep. From attending Parkland School District to returning home after dental training to care for local families, giving back to this community has always been an important part of his journey.

That commitment extends beyond our office walls through Dr. Bret’s involvement with the Parkland Education Foundation and the Parkland Alumni Network. You’ll even find Parkland Alumni Network QR code cards on your way out of our office—making it easy for fellow alumni to reconnect, network, and support the next generation of Parkland students.

We’re also proud to support the Parkland Education Foundation through our New Patient Give Back Program. For every new patient we welcome to our practice, we make a donation to help support educational opportunities and initiatives throughout the Parkland community.

What an incredible experience spending last Saturday morning volunteering alongside so many amazing friends, colleagues, and new faces — all coming together with one shared mission: caring for our community ❤️

Over 900 volunteers united to help provide dental care for approximately 1,400 patients over two days, and it was truly inspiring to witness the generosity, teamwork, and compassion on display.

Grateful for the opportunity to give back, reconnect with familiar faces, meet new ones, and be part of something so meaningful. What an amazing reminder of the power of community. 🦷✨
