Traditional periodontal treatment is performed by feel, meaning deposits hidden deep beneath the gums can be difficult to detect and remove completely. With periodontal endoscopy, we can see below the gumline in real time at up to 100× magnification.
This allows us to identify and precisely remove hidden calculus and bacterial deposits while preserving healthy tooth structure. More thorough removal helps reduce the inflammation driving periodontal disease and gives the gums the best opportunity to heal—improving the chance of long-term periodontal stability.
