Here is a 32 years in private practice rant-
It is inevitable that people calling my emergency number looking for drugs are guaranteed to call on Saturday or Sunday morning between 758 to 801am and have some seriously half assed story. Or I saw them one time to extract a tooth when Clinton was in office and thus that makes them a valued current patient somehow.šŸ˜‚. The odds of this happening go up exponentially if I have a cold and really wanted to sleep in. It is 2025, folksā€¦
We rarely even prescribe narcotic pain meds unless I have performed oral surgery on youā€¦and if you lead with ā€œpercocet is the only thing that works on meā€, you will get ā€œnothing and like itā€.
Can you guess that over the last 3 weekends i have been awakened a lot by random people looking to get some drugs to make their holidays merrier?šŸ˜‚

32nd time we will close up the little office and celebrate Christmas. Maybe it is because I am getting closer to the end of my career than the beginning, but for some reason I am waxing nostalgic this year. I am really awed at the number of patients who came with this practice when I took over & are still with me after all these years and have truly become part of my life. Much of my original staff are still putting up with me and are as much family as my own. This little corner of Aliquippa has provided so many blessings in my life and none greater than the people that have come into my life here. So, to all who have blessed me with your trust and friendship thru all these years-
God Bless Youā€¦Thank You and MERRY CHRISTMAS šŸŽ„šŸŽ„
