Orthodontics pero make it Spanish!
As a Latina orthodontist, it is so important to me that our community is well informed on orthodontic terminology. After all, saber es poder and making decisions about your oral health starts with having an understanding of your bite and why you may need orthodontic treatment.

While making this reel, I also learned some new terms so it was a great learning experience for me as well! I may or may not have also struggled switching between Spanish and English 🤣.

Moments like this are why Sparkle Orthodontics exists 💖.

As a kid, I never had orthodontic treatment. In fact, I rarely recall ever going to the dentist!! It wasn't until I was in dental school, that I realized the important role that orthodontists play. Since that day in March of 2017, I knew that there was no other specialty for me- this was it!

If someone were to ask me if I would choose this career again, I would without hesitation say YES!!!🥹 Despite being in school for 10 years and hundreds of thousands in student loans💲, I love being able to be a part of someone's smile journey.

We're so thrilled to join Kairy in her smile transformation & can't wait to see her results. Let’s do this! 💫

Myth: Orthodontic treatment only straightens teeth.
Fact: While straightening teeth, orthodontic treatment can also improve the position of teeth in alveolar bone which in some cases, can lead to improved gum health!

Myth: Orthodontic treatment is only for teenagers. 🙆🏽‍♀️

Fact: Early intervention for kids as young as age 7 can be indicated in certain cases such as presentation of a crossbite. 👧🏽🧒🏻👧🏼👦

Palatal expanders work by gently widening a narrow upper jaw which can lead to correction of crossbites and make room for incoming adult teeth. The best part? Creating this space early often means preventing complex treatments or tooth extractions in their teen years.

Does your little one have a crossbite or crowded teeth? Let’s chat!

Welcome to the start-up life. As a new practice owner, I split my time between multiple offices throughout the week as an associate while being at my office 1-2 days a week. Fridays are usually my longest days just because the office is further away from my hometown. The drive isn't so bad though especially when you have great coffee+great music to get you through it 😁.

Happy Friday y'all and cheers to the weekend!
