Friday Smiles Transformation! ✨🦷
This case was one of those reminders of how every smile tells a unique story.
When this patient first came to us, several orthodontic challenges were working together:
🔹 Ectopic canine – One of the upper canines erupted outside its ideal position, affecting both alignment and function.
🔹 Posterior crossbite – The upper teeth were sitting inside the lower teeth in the back, which can impact proper jaw development and bite function if left untreated.
🔹 Upper crowding – Limited space caused teeth to overlap and compete for room in the arch.
🔹 Severe premolar rotation – A premolar had rotated significantly, making alignment more complex than a typical crowding case.
🔹 Traumatic bite – Certain teeth were contacting in a way that could contribute to excessive wear and potential damage over time.
What makes this case especially interesting is that it wasn't just about straightening teeth—it was about correcting multiple bite issues simultaneously while creating a healthy, functional, and esthetic result. By carefully guiding the ectopic canine into position, correcting the crossbite, creating space, and aligning the rotated teeth, we were able to transform both the smile and the bite.
The result? A healthier bite, improved function, and a confident smile our patient can enjoy for years to come. 🎉
