Growing Smiles: A Beautiful Transformation! 🩵

Early orthodontic intervention can make a BIG difference! ✨

This patient presented with an anterior crossbite, rotated teeth, and limited space, which were also making oral hygiene more challenging.

🦷 Phase 1: A rapid palatal expander was used to create the space needed and guide the teeth toward their proper positions.

🌱 We then allowed time for the patient to continue growing and developing before beginning Phase 2 approximately 18 months later.

😁 Phase 2: With full upper and lower braces, we were able to beautifully align the teeth and create a healthy, confident smile!

This case is a great example of how early evaluation and timely orthodontic treatment can help simplify future treatment and set the foundation for a beautiful smile. 💙

Bittersweet day for us today at Parker-Gray!

Let’s start with a happy birthday to our August babies: Kathrin and Kianna!

On that note, helps us send off Eisa to college with lots of love!

Today we said “see you later” to our Eisa as he heads to UVA to finish his prerequisites for dental school!

Eisa joined our practice two years ago, and in that time, he’s become so much more than just a coworker. As the youngest—and the only guy in our practice 😂—he quickly became our little brother. We’ve watched him grow, learn, work hard, and chase his dreams, and we couldn’t be more proud of him!

One of the things we’ll miss most about Eisa is the incredible way he connects with our little patients. 💙 He has such a kind, gentle demeanor and a great personality that makes children feel comfortable, especially those who need a little extra patience, reassurance, and TLC. 🥹🫶🏼 It’s no surprise that he has so many patients who are going to miss seeing him!

His ultimate goal is to become an oral surgeon, and we have no doubt that his hard work, compassion, and dedication will take him there. 🦷✨

We’re going to miss having you around every day, Eisa, but we’re SO excited to see where this next chapter takes you. Go make us proud, future Dr. Eisa! 🎓🩺

Phase One Success! ✨

Sometimes, early orthodontic treatment is about so much more than straight teeth.

This patient came to us with an anterior crossbite, where one of the upper front teeth was trapped behind the lower teeth. Left untreated, a crossbite can affect the way a child bites, chews, and even cause unnecessary wear on the teeth.

With Phase One orthodontic treatment, using an expander and just four brackets, we were able to:
🦷 Correct the crossbite
🦷 Create the space needed for proper tooth alignment
🦷 Restore a healthier bite—all in under 14 months!

Phase One focused on improving function and protecting the teeth. In Phase Two, we’ll fine-tune the smile as all of the permanent teeth come in.

Every smile has a story, and early intervention can make all the difference. 💙
