When the pain of in action becomes to great
I was listening to a great book called Leading On Empty by Wayne Cordeiro and in it he discusses how the pain you suffer from by not taking action will only get worse.
Meaning if you don’t do anything about your problem or situation it will only get worse.
As I thought about this and my experience as a dentist- the #1 motivating factor for people to come see me is PAIN.
Even those with the worst fear of the dentist, eventually the pain gets so bad that they surrender. They come to see us for help.
What if you don’t have any teeth or maybe you are missing just some teeth but they don’t hurt?
What about when there isn’t any dental pain but you are suffering emotional pain.
How can missing teeth lead to emotional pain?
Is that even possible?
I just finished a case for a military veteran. He hadn’t had many teeth left when I met him. He wasn’t in any real dental pain.
What he did suffer with was lack of nutrition and self esteem.
Before loosing his teeth he felt confident and strong.
As the years went by without having any teeth and constantly struggling with dentures he began to loose weight, the unhealthy kind. He was loosing muscle mass and strength.
It weighed on his mind a lot. When we first met he told me how much it was effecting him that he couldn’t eat and that he was loosing his strength.
He had no dental pain but he had mental anguish.
Yesterday I finished his teeth. He was so happy and excited. I spoke to him today and he told me that he “tried out” his new teeth last night by eating a steak. He was smiling so big as he told me how excited he was to be able to eat “real” food again and put on some muscle.
Seeing his eyes light up and the smile on his face and the confidence radiating from him- that is why I do this. That is why I spent so much time learning the skills, investing in the equipment and why you constantly see my post on FACEBOOK.
My soul is happy when I can help people like this. Some call it living your soul purpose.
I would love to help you or your loved one get back confidence and healing that comes from restoring missing teeth.
Send me a message and lets talk about your unique situation.
