Wisdom teeth are the last four teeth of the adult dentition to erupt. Some people never form wisdom teeth; some form more than four.

It isn't always necessary to remove them. It's a case by case decision based on space, position and growth patterns. Treatment tailored to the individual. That is wisdom.
