It is with profound sadness that we share the unexpected passing of Dr. Eric Anderson.

Eric was so much more than a dentist. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, a dear friend and colleague, and someone who cared deeply about the people and communities he was fortunate to serve.

For more than 26 years, Eric had the privilege of caring for patients and families in West Des Moines, and for the past 11 years, he poured his heart into Adel Dental Group and the Adel community. What began as a second dental office became something much more to Eric and Diana. Adel became another home.

Eric loved being a dentist, but more than anything, he valued the relationships that came with it. He was deeply grateful for the trust his patients placed in him and considered it an incredible privilege to care for generations of families throughout his career.

Eric was incredibly excited about the future of Adel Dental Group and had recently committed himself full-time to the practice and the community he had grown to love so much. While our hearts are broken and we are still trying to comprehend this tremendous loss, our team remains committed to caring for our patients and continuing the spirit of service and personal care that meant so much to Eric.

In the days ahead, we ask for your patience and grace as Eric's family and our Adel Dental Group team grieve and begin to navigate what comes next. We may not have every answer immediately, but please know that we are here, and we will continue to care for our patients and families.

To everyone who trusted Eric with your care, welcomed him into this community, shared a conversation or a laugh with him, or simply became part of his life along the way, thank you. You meant more to him than you may ever know.

We will share additional information with our patients and community as appropriate in the days ahead.

After 26 incredible years serving patients in West Des Moines, I’m excited to share that I’ve officially sold Anderson Dental Group and will now be practicing full-time at Adel Dental Group.

Although this is a new chapter for me professionally, it certainly isn’t a new beginning. For the past 11 years, I’ve had the privilege of caring for patients right here in Adel. What began as a satellite office quickly became something much more. My wife, Diana, and I fell in love with this community, and over the years, Adel has truly become home.

While saying goodbye to Anderson Dental Group is bittersweet, I’m incredibly excited about what lies ahead. By focusing my time and energy in one location, I’ll be able to continue providing the personalized care my patients have come to expect while investing even more in the future of Adel Dental Group.

To my Anderson Dental Group patients, thank you for 26 wonderful years of trust, friendship, and support. It has truly been the honor of a lifetime to care for you and your families.

To my Adel patients (and those who may be looking for a new dental home), I’m excited for what’s ahead and look forward to serving this amazing community for many years to come.

We had a fantastic time participating in Adel’s Sweet Corn Festival! We loved bringing our dental office into the festivities, celebrating our amazing community, and showing off our “It Doesn’t Get Any Butter!” spirit. 💛

A big thank-you to everyone who stopped by, waved, and enjoyed the parade with us! We’re so grateful to be part of such a sweet community.

Help us give a warm “full-time” welcome to Janae! 💕Janae has been assisting Dr Anderson since he founded ADG in 2000, and we couldn’t be happier to have her with us in Adel!

Janae has one of the kindest, gentlest hearts you’ll ever meet. She genuinely cares about every patient who walks through our doors and goes above and beyond to make each visit as comfortable as possible. Her compassion, experience, and dedication make her an incredible dental assistant!

Outside of work, Janae and her husband spend much of their free time with their 2 grown children and 2 grandchildren, whom they adore!
