Baby bottle tooth decay is more common than many parents realize — but the good news is it’s preventable! 🦷✨

Let's protect those sweet little smiles from the very start.

🍼 What is baby bottle tooth decay?
It happens when babies fall asleep with a bottle of milk, formula, or juice; or breastfeeding at liberty overnight once teeth are erupted. The sugars sit on their teeth overnight feeding bacteria and causing cavities — especially on the front teeth.

💡 How to prevent it:
✔️ Avoid putting baby to bed with a bottle (unless it’s water)
✔️ Wipe gums with a soft cloth after overnight feedings
✔️ Start brushing as soon as the first tooth appears
✔️ Schedule your child’s first dental visit by age 1

🪥✨ Parents, Keep Brushing Together! ✨🪥

Did you know children should have help brushing their teeth until they’re about 7–8 years old? Even if they want to do it themselves (we love that independence!), their fine motor skills are still developing — which means they may miss important spots.
👶 Ages 0–3: Parents should brush for them
🧒 Ages 3–6: Let them practice, but parents should finish
😁 Ages 7–8: Supervise and assist until they can brush thoroughly on their own
Think of it like tying shoes — it takes time and practice!
Helping your child brush twice a day builds healthy habits, prevents cavities, and keeps those growing smiles strong. 🦷✨
