🦷 The Truth About Acidic & Carbonated Drinks! 🥤

Did you know that many popular beverages have dangerously low pH levels that can weaken your enamel? Here’s a quick look at their acidity:

🔹 Soda – pH 2.5-3.5
🔹 Sports Drinks – pH 3.0-4.0
🔹 Energy Drinks – pH 2.5-3.0
🔹 Lemonade – pH 2.0-3.0
🔹 Coffee – pH 4.5-5.0

❗ How does acidity affect your teeth?
Acidic and carbonated beverages erode enamel, making your teeth more prone to sensitivity, cavities, and staining. Once enamel wears down, it doesn’t grow back!

💡 Better Drinking Habits:
🚫 Constant sipping = repeated acid exposure = more enamel damage
✅ It’s better to drink it all in one sitting and rinse with water afterward to neutralize acids.

For a healthier smile, try swapping these drinks for water or milk and always brush at least 30 minutes after consuming acidic beverages to avoid brushing softened enamel away!

Dear Dogwood Family,

We are reaching out to inform you of an important opportunity to support those affected by the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene in western North Carolina and Tennessee. One of our dental assistants’ husbands, who serves in the military, has a colleague organizing a disaster relief effort, and we have the chance to contribute.

A trailer will be departing at 9 AM on Wednesday, and we welcome any contributions you may wish to donate over the next two days, Monday (9/30) and Tuesday (10/1). Items can be dropped off at our lobby, or you may bring them to any other collection site you are aware of (Red’s Corner or the Harley Davidsons shop).

Together, we can make a difference in the lives of families and communities in need. Please see the attached list of essential items, and thank you for your generosity and support.
