我在副都心牙醫診所的最後一舞
連續一個多月超標的工作量，就在即將完結前夕，進來一個滿臉愁苦的病人，牙痛數日想拔除
一顆subgingival caries+lingual crossbite的牙齒，拔掉不失為速戰速決的治療方式，但看著紫爆了的約診本，內心交戰
拔吧！請助理準備就緒，在elevator 的巧妙板弄下牙齒很快便鬆了，接著forcep上場，想著很快就能結束了，咦？拉不動！左搖右晃還是拉不起來，最後多費了一些時間才完整拿出整顆牙，原來是個小柺子！！
不論拔牙還是根管治療，我喜歡一根腸子通到底的牙，人 也 是！

下顎門齒蛀牙，選擇用貼片贗復

A case of mandibular anterior interproximal caries.

Direct composite restorations are not favoured here as they can weaken the remaining tooth structure and are prone to developing stained margins as well as dislodging.

Porcelain veneers are the chosen restorative modality instead, creating a result that is meticulously designed, custom-made and a true coalescence of aesthetic superiority, structural integrity and gingival harmony.

Litetouch Laser & Acute Periodontal Abscesses Part II

38-year old female presented with a painful and fluctuant swelling on the lingual side of her lower right premolars.

After a thorough clinical examination, it was determined that the abscess was of acute periodontal origin.

The clinical management of the abscess involved pus drainage, chlorhexidine irrigation, followed by laser ablation and disinfection using the latest Litetouch Laser technology.

The process was gentle and effective with the laser having a biostimulating effect to quicken healing and repair.

The one-week follow up showed a great result with the gingiva restored to a healthy colour, contour and consistency.

This case highlighted the effectiveness of Litetouch laser technology, particularly when it comes to the management of acute periodontal pathologies.

不拔牙矯正案例分享
固定式pendulum裝置讓第一大臼齒後退，創造空間以利後續排牙

Our 10-year old patient presented with bilateral moderate to severe crowding in the posterior segments of his maxillary arch. After x-ray examinations and comprehensive treatment planning, it was decided that we could use a pendulum orthodontic appliance as his treatment modality.

Through regular follow-ups and shown in the series of clinical photographs, it's apparent that the device has allowed us to gain space particularly in the antero-posterior direction. The first molars have been moved distally to create the much-needed space, and additional x-rays have been taken to confirm that the second molars still have a clear unimpacted eruption pathway to the oral cavity.

Now that we've got space to work with, we can start using brackets and orthodontic wires to align the teeth.

Should the patient come to us at a later stage in his life, it is highly likely that the extraction of one of the premolars would be needed to create space. The use of the time-sensitive pendulum at this stage of the patient's life has negated the need for future extractions, which is wonderful indeed.
