How to Choose the Right Dental Clinic in Turkey — Professional Guidance from Dr. G. Rozyyeva
Hello,
I’m Dr. G. Rozyyeva, a practicing dentist in Marmaris, Turkey. Over the years, I’ve worked with many international patients and listened to numerous stories—some highly positive, others more cautionary. If you are considering dental treatment in Turkey, I would like to share a few important points to help you make an informed and safe decision.
1. Be wary of clinics that ask you to sign an NDA.
Some large dental chains in Turkey request that patients sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), which restricts them from sharing negative feedback or experiences online. In my view, any clinic that limits your ability to speak openly should be approached with caution. Ethical practices should never fear transparency.
2. Highest prices do not necessarily reflect higher quality.
The cost of treatment is not always an indicator of the level of care. In many cases, agencies inflate treatment prices by adding their own commission. For this reason, it is advisable to deal directly with the clinic and ensure there is no intermediary involved.
3. Not all online reviews are trustworthy.
Unfortunately, fabricated reviews are common in the dental tourism sector. Some are posted by individuals posing as patients, often linked to the clinic in question. More reliable reviews tend to come from local patients on platforms like Google Maps, especially when supported by before-and-after photos and detailed feedback.
4. Avoid clinics that rush your treatment process.
Comprehensive dental care requires time and attention to detail. Clinics that try to complete treatments too quickly often compromise on quality. Your long-term dental health should always come before speed or convenience.
5. Clarify all costs upfront.
Many patients report price changes upon arrival, especially if no X-ray was submitted beforehand. Ask for a detailed breakdown of all possible costs—including additional procedures that may become necessary—before you commit to anything.
6. Ignore unsolicited private messages offering treatment deals.
If someone contacts you privately after seeing your inquiry in a group or forum, be cautious. Trustworthy clinics do not market their services via direct messages. Instead, take initiative to research and contact clinics yourself.
7. Don’t judge a clinic solely by its social media presence.
Aesthetic Instagram feeds and professional marketing can be deceiving. What truly matters is the dentist’s qualifications, clinical experience, and commitment to patient care.
8. Consider smaller, boutique clinics for more personalized attention.
Large clinics often employ dozens of dentists, and patients may not know who will perform their procedure. In contrast, smaller practices tend to offer more individualized care. At my own clinic, I personally treat each patient and remain involved throughout the process.
Lastly:
Whether your experience is positive or not, consider sharing it to help others make better decisions. If you’ve signed an NDA and prefer to stay anonymous, that’s understandable—but please aim to be fair and objective. Constructive feedback contributes to higher standards across the board.
Should you have any questions or seek honest guidance, feel free to reach out. I’m here to help.
Warm regards,
Dr. G. Rozyyeva
