What can a missing tooth lead to? ❓

The adjacent teeth begin to tilt toward the gap, while the tooth on the opposite jaw starts to grow longer—either upward or
downward—to fill that space. 🦷

Over time, this causes your teeth to become misaligned.
Due to the missing tooth, we unconsciously start chewing on the other side. ❗️

📌This places excessive strain on your jaw joint and can lead to waking up with a tired jaw in the morning or joint pain.

Since the jawbone in the area where the tooth root is missing is not stimulated, it begins to recede over time.

Please don’t neglect your treatments by thinking, “What could a single missing tooth possibly cause?”; don’t unknowingly harm your oral health by delaying checkups and solutions.✨

Is it safe to undergo dental treatment during pregnancy? ❓

This is one of the most common questions we hear from expectant mothers: ‘Will undergoing dental treatment while pregnant harm my baby?’ ❓

Today, my dear husband, Prof. Dr. Ali Ekiz, and I wanted to take a closer look at this important topic. ☺️

Contrary to popular belief, dental treatment during pregnancy is not risky; with the right timing and expert guidance, it can be
carried out safely for both mother and baby. 👶🏻

📌Generally, during the second trimester (weeks 13–26), when the baby’s development is at its most stable, treatments can be safely performed with your obstetrician’s approval and appropriate protective measures in place.

Remember that an untreated dental infection poses a much greater risk to your baby than planned dental treatment. ❗️
