FOUNDER’S STORY ✨Quite a few people have asked me recently, how I got into dentistry and why I founded TruDental Tourism. So here is why!⚡️
👆🏻At the tail end of Covid I was working for a different health tourism company in Istanbul. I was becoming increasingly uncomfortable and unhappy with some of the practices I was observing. 👉Transparency was lacking, corners were being cut and good people were bearing the brunt of these bad practices.

✨I quit this company after only 3 months and decided to go it alone. My only niche would be 100% transparency and doing things properly. This shouldn’t be a niche but unfortunately it is!

✨I made a website, connected with a luxury transport company and also a good hotel. Finding the perfect clinic was absolutely key to safeguarding my patients’ health and also my personal reputation. I was not prepared to make any compromises on this especially after that I had learnt and experienced in my early days in the industry.
Unfortunately, you often cannot rely on what people tell you with confidence. For this reason, I would test potential partners sending them straightforward cases to see what their diagnosis would be. Any hint of dishonesty or exaggerating suggested treatment they were immediately binned as an option.

✨It took me around 6 months of heavy research and 1000s of cups of Turkish tea to find our clinic. We have been with them for the last 4.5 years and I’m happy to say we have no plans to leave them. They have their moments and communication can be a little different to what we are used to in the UK at times, however, I can stand by their honesty, top quality results and willingness to work with us to learn, adapt and succeed together.
👍I used to meet patients at the airport personally. Now I have a fantastic team in Istanbul and also in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where we are just about to launch our second location.

💪I would encourage anyone sitting on an idea to go for it! If you think something can be done in a better, more ethical and in a more sustainable way there are no limits.

❓HOW IT WORKS❓

Many patients feel worried about travelling to Turkey for treatment because so much feels unclear.

This article will help you understand exactly what to expect and how it works.

📲Step 1

You can begin simply by messaging us and sending your photos, X-rays, or scans if you have them. Our doctors review your case online and explain what is most likely needed. At this stage, there is no obligation at all. You are free to ask questions, understand your options, and receive an initial online consultation BEFORE making any decision.

👉Step 2
If you decide to go ahead, you pay a deposit to secure your booking, and that deposit is deducted from your total treatment cost. Once your travel dates are confirmed, we organise everything in advance, so your trip is planned before you even arrive.

☝️Step 3
From the moment you land, you are not left alone.
A driver meets you at the airport and takes you directly to your hotel. We have worked with this hotel for many years, so everything there is well organised for our patients.

🌟Step 4
The next day, our Patient Care Manager meets you at the hotel, so you do not have to find the clinic yourself or figure anything out alone. He will take the time to answer any questions, help you feel at ease, and then accompany you to the clinic.
This makes a real difference, especially for patients who feel nervous about travelling for treatment.

🌟Step 6
Throughout your stay, our support continues. Your Patient Care Manager remains there to help, accompanies you to the clinic when needed, and makes sure you feel looked after at every stage.

If you have time between appointments, he can also help organise your free time — whether that means a trip along the Bosphorus, a visit to the city’s sights, or simply helping with everyday practical matters during your stay.

💙Step 7
Before you leave, we see you again to check how your healing is progressing and make sure everything is going as it should.

We also provide you with everything you may need to take home with you, including your scans, your implant passport if implants were placed, a full aftercare pack, and extra antibiotics where appropriate — especially in case they may be difficult to obtain in your home country. Once everything is in order, your transfer back to the airport is arranged for you.

And that support continues after you return home.

Travel to Istanbul Continues as Normal✅

👉Given the recent unfolding situation in the Middle East we only thought it appropriate to address this here.
• Is Turkey affected?
Our clinic in Istanbul is on the European side of Turkey. It is approximately the same distance from London to Athens as it is Istanbul to Tehran. Turkey is not affected.
• What is the official UK government travel advice?
As of this post on the 6th of March, there are no new travel updates.
• What is the situation like on the ground?
Istanbul is a bustling city with around 17 million inhabitants. The atmosphere is calm and everything is operating as normal.
• Are flights operating as normal?
Yes, flights west of Turkey to and from Europe as operating as scheduled.
• Is Turkey likely to be drawn into the conflict?
No. Given Turkey’s unique Geopolitical position, Turkey is highly unlikely to become involved in this conflict. Turkey is a NATO member country with a history of good relations with Iran. This further decreases the likelihood of any involvement.
• Istanbul is much like any other European city and welcomed 19 million international tourists last year and is open and unaffected.

❤️We hope and pray for a swift end to the current situation. It’s important to note that the people who suffer here are ordinary people, just like all of us. Ordinary people who don’t choose their government and ordinary people who just want freedom, peace and stability.

👉While this is not true in every case, unfortunately, lots of Facebook dental tourism review and advice groups are owned by various clinics and providers. While the content
may look like people innocently looking for advice about where to book for treatment, don’t be fooled.

🚫These are often marketing funnels designed to give the impression of
an impartial platform to share advice. In reality, while the group owners may allow limited exposure of other providers, the focus and majority of content will be stealth promotion of their clinic.

👉Website Transparency

☑️Check if there is detailed information on the clinic's website. ✅Do they have information
about their doctors?

✅Do they state who the CEO / Director is?
✅Do all the photos look like stock images? Does everything seem too perfect?
✅Does the provider clearly display their prices on the website? If not, why not?

😞Unfortunately, it is fairly common for clinics to design your quote based on your nationality and what they perceive you can afford.

‼️Never share your budget; it is
irrelevant. The only relevant thing is what the clinics' fixed prices are. In summary, if something seems too good to be true, it probably is. Go with your instincts, be cynical and do diligent research using the advice detailed in this guide!
